Welcome! I am AmandaLou, Poet.
Writing is my passion, and I don’t stoke the fire nearly enough. The muse deserts me, leaving me to drink sand out of a mirage. I would love to be inspired 24/7, but that would get rather bothersome as I would not be able to stop writing.
Generally, I write free verse. I prefer free verse to following the rules of structured poetry. I think I find that true in my outside life, too.
Formerly, I didn’t use much of my personal life in my poetry and instead made up “stories;” however, now I’m incorporating my life experience into my poetry.
I also dabble with blogging and do write a little prose here and there, so you will find that on my page, too.
You will also find my thoughts on Christ. I strive to put the Christ in Christianity.
Rolling and rolling, and as bumpy as it may be, I roll, roll, roll to a happy destiny. (See what I did there?)
